OnePlus 5 Rumours | Everything We Know

OnePlus recently released the 3T & rumours have already started emerging about its successor, the OnePlus 5. The number 4 in Chinese is considered bad luck which is why the numbering is such.

A report from a Chinese publication claims that the smartphone will sport a massive 8GB RAM. Newer phones released in 2017 seem to have caught the trend of having such a huge amount of memory fit into the phones.

The OnePlus 5 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor – the octa-core Snapdragon 835 coupled with the Adreno 540 GPU. It is expected that the smartphone will come with an all new design with reduced bezels akin to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6.

As for the display, OnePlus is expected to upgrade from fullHD to QuadHD in the OnePlus 5 with a resolution of 1440×2560. The battery could be a massive 4000mAh.

Also like the iPhone 7 and the LG G6, the phone is also expected to sport a dual-camera array at the back, purportedly a 20MP shooter.

The phone is expected to be released in the second half of the year. More details to follow.
